It is difficult to provide feed back or suggestions on how this doctor could improve his care, as I have nothing negative to say about him. From the initial consultation, to the final appointment, I received the most Curtis, ,professional , and caring treatment. From him. I was very impressed by the time taken to explain exactly what to expect prior to surgery, and the time taken post operative in follow up. But more important than any of this, I am certain that the knowledge , experience, and expertise demonstrated by him during my surgery provided me with a quality of care second to none. I can only hope that should I require further treatment, of any kind, in the future that I find someone of the same caliber, and in whom I can be as confident in.

Mr Ratliff carried out a Laparoscopic cholecystectomy on me a few weeks ago and I was discharged from his care today. From our very first meeting right through until today Mr Ratliff's professionalism and kindness shone through. He always listened to my concerns and ensured that he explained everything regarding my medical condition in easy to understand language. When he went through the risks of the operation with me, he managed to provide the information in such a way that I didn't feel concerned at all even though I fully understood the risks involved. His 'bedside manner' was excellent and I would highly recommend him.

I had a parathyroidectomy carried out by Mr Ratliff a month ago. Prior to the operation I saw Mr Ratliff on two occasions and he explained everything to me very clearly and also listened to me and answered my questions in a friendly and helpful manner. His confidence and knowledge was most reassuring and knowing what would happen and how I would be after the operation helped me not to worry. The drain in my neck was a bit uncomfortable but I knew in advance it would be there. Although it is not long since the op I am already feeling much more energetic and only now do I realise how unwell I was feeling prior to the operation. I am so grateful to have been referred to him. The scar is healing well and has not caused me any problems.

I cannot emphasize enough how good my overall experience was with Mr Ratliff. He put me at ease before the surgery to repair my hernia and I am really happy with the results. My experience of Three Shires Hospital is a positive one. I can now get on with my electrical trade and some gardening - hooray!

Mr Ratliff listened and questioned succinctly. He the outlined the procedure, the length of the operation and the follow up appointment. After the procedure he checked my condition and explained further what I need to do at home for a full recovery. At the follow up appointment, again he was clear and most positive in his manner. His interpersonal skills will clear and direct, telling me all I needed to know without waffle. excellent time management and my surgery was net and tidy - need I say more.
